Internet speed test
Run a bounded download, upload and HTTP latency measurement against a selected ToolMellow endpoint. See actual payload counts, loaded latency and data-cap limitations.
Also known asSpeed test · Internet speed test online · WiFi speed test · Broadband speed test
Start sends synthetic bytes between your browser and the selected endpoint. Your files are never used. Hosting infrastructure sees your address and request metadata.
Three small steps.
- Choose an available endpoint and Quick or Standard payload limit. Read the data-use disclosure.
- Start the test explicitly. Watch its progress or cancel at any time.
- Review endpoint throughput, confirmed bytes, HTTP latency and any cap or failure before downloading the report.
A few things to know.
Quick caps synthetic transfers at 16 MiB down/4 MiB up and 3 seconds per direction; Standard at 64 MiB down/32 MiB up and 8 seconds per direction. Small control requests and protocol overhead are additional. At most two concurrent transfers and 30 seconds overall. One test per connection per minute; endpoint quotas also apply. Local tests are labeled local throughput. This observes one endpoint path, not a guaranteed ISP line rate or packet-loss measurement.

Does the test start automatically?
No. Only Start speed test creates a measurement session and transfers synthetic payload. Your files are not used.
Why does a fast result say data cap reached?
A fast connection can finish the allowed bytes before the target interval. A short burst does not establish sustained capacity; the cap prevents unlimited data use.
What does upload throughput count?
Only payload acknowledged by the server is used for its rate. Attempted but unconfirmed bytes are shown separately, because their actual transferred size is unknown.
What is loaded latency?
HTTP round trips sampled while a download or upload is active. It includes application, TLS and routing effects. It is not ICMP ping, and failed HTTP requests are not reported as packet loss.
