Three small steps.
- Enter a timestamp or a date such as 2026-10-01T12:00:00Z, or use the current time.
- Choose Convert.
- Read the result in each form and copy the one you need.
A few things to know.
A number is read by its size: below 100 billion as seconds, then milliseconds, microseconds and nanoseconds. Written dates are parsed by your browser; ISO 8601 with a time zone is the reliable form, and other spellings can be read differently by different browsers. Results have millisecond precision. Dates outside roughly 271,821 BCE to 275,760 CE are refused.

What is a Unix timestamp?
The number of seconds since 1 January 1970 at 00:00:00 UTC, not counting leap seconds. Many systems store times this way.
How does it know whether my number is seconds or milliseconds?
By its size. A value below 100 billion is taken as seconds, which covers dates up to the year 5138; larger values are taken as finer units. The result says which reading was used.
Which time zone are the results in?
Both: one row shows UTC and another your browser's time zone, named beside it.
